Children in Paris
When you think of the highlights of Paris you don’t usually associate them with children – the thought of spending the day in the Louvre with a couple of youngsters is not very tempting! But there are several highlights in Paris that you can visit with children and they will enjoy (and so will you!) so don’t be put off the idea of visiting until your children are grown up – see some of our suggestions below for great things to do ‘en famille’ in Paris.
There are various large parks and gardens in Paris where children can run around and burn off energy, and there is a small zoo area in the Paris botanical gardens.
In the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Jardin de Tuileries there are often buskers and children’s activities that will entertain all the family.
Children will enjoy being whisked to the top of the Eiffel tower.
Youngsters (especially boys?) will relish in a visit to the the Les Invalides military museum to see the weapons used in the revolution and napoleonic eras.
A trip on a bateau-mouche open top boat along the River Seine is good fun for children, and will save them having to walk around too much
Out of town, and I’m sure your children are already aware of it – a trip to Disneyland Paris will always go down well with children of all ages, and probably with most adults as well!
There are many other activities organised for children in Paris such as workshops, museum visits etc. If you are staying for quite a while in Paris with children these will deserve investigation – although many are carried out in French you will find your children understand what to do better than you would expect!

I totally agree about bringing the children to Paris. It is a wonderful city for Children particularly in the summer. Visit when Paris Plage and they will love it!
I would also recommend visiting Aquaboulevard in Paris and stay there for half a day.
